Peace Plan Nigeria Sahel
- A civil society concept by the Kompaktzeitung -
(zeta) - At Pentecost 2026, the Kompaktzeitung (kompaktzeitung.de) distributed ninety letters containing a self-formulated peace plan for Nigeria-ECOWAS-Sahel – published in four languages and on four-color paper.
This civil society concept offers concrete solutions outside traditional pathways and encompasses the following core areas:

Outlook and Distribution 2026
In 2026, we are still distributing our compact two-page plan exactly like the original at Pentecost as the Nigeria-Sahel Peace Plan.
- Distribution is carried out in four languages on four-color paper.
- Starting in January, the ECOWAS / CEDEAO economic community will be officially added to the text.

To finance the project's significant distribution costs, we are selling the peace plan worldwide at a price of 14 euros per copy (including shipping). We use these revenues within our project for postage, four-color paper, shipping envelopes, and toner.

The Life’s Work of a Journalist and Entrepreneur
The compact two-page text of the Kompaktzeitung is the result of decades of journalistic work and international experience. The author worked in South of Hesse, Darmstadt, Frankfurt am Main (at the Associated Press news agency), as well as in Salvador and São Paulo (Brazil). Brazil is a tropical country where, with the exception of Australia, all the world's major cultures converge.
In the course of his career, he interviewed prominent figures of contemporary history:
- Joseph Rotblat (Nobel Peace Prize laureate)
- Edward Teller (Inventor of the hydrogen bomb)
- Dr. Shuntaro Hida (Physician from Hiroshima)
- Hans-Peter Dürr (Right Livelihood Award / Alternative Nobel Prize recipient)

Initial Focus on ECOWAS / CEDEAO
Following the launch of the peace plan at Pentecost 2026, we realized that "Nigeria-Sahel" meant taking the second step before the first. Therefore, we are now focusing first on Nigeria and the West African economic community ECOWAS / CEDEAO, to which Nigeria belongs. We will gradually reincorporate the Sahel region.
The Starting Points: Two Seven-Year-Old Victims
Our peace plan arose from the impulse to provide concrete help to two seven-year-old Nigerian children: a boy who was struck in the neck with a machete by an Islamic extremist, nearly fatally, and a girl. Night after night, she prays to Jesus Christ that "the strange men" will not return to terrorize her, her family, and her fellow believers.
